Brightening The Night in The East Cut
We live in an exciting district when it comes to dining, entertainment and culture and we love when there is a new and exciting addition to our neighborhood.
The East Cut recently announced that the launch of San Francisco’s first permanent light projection, East Cut Electric, on the PG&E Substation is coming this month!
East Cut Electric is a nightly digital art projection onto the PG&E Substation on Folsom St. By day, it’s a stunning brutalist building, and by night, it will become a canvas for mesmerizing animated artwork that will rotate quarterly—so you can always look forward to something new!
This retro-meets-modern event blends ’70s vibes with cutting-edge animation, and you’re invited to celebrate in Electric Groove style—think bold colors, shimmer, glitter, and funky accessories.
Watch the unveiling on Thursday, November 7th from 4-6pm. Mingle with your neighbors over a DJ set by WLFERAL, drinks and bites from Greyhound Bar, holiday beverages by Bluestone Lane, and giveaways from TruFusion.
Enjoy food, drinks, a photo booth, and more as we light up the city with this amazing new art installation. Don’t forget to stick around for Downtown First Thursdays on Second Street from 5-10pm!
Here is the RSVP link. RSVP is not required. This event is free and open to the public.
