August 1, Downtown First Thursdays. Get ready for more live music, food, drag, DJs, and more. The fun takes place on 2nd Street and along neighboring alleyways on Jessie, Minna, and Natoma Streets.

August 1, First Thursdays at SFMOMA. From 12 noon–8 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month, Bay Area residents can enjoy SFMOMA’s galleries filled with lively and inspiring art — for free.

August 3, Jerry Day. This is a civic and cultural event celebrating one of the greatest rock guitarists of all time and San Francisco native son – Jerry Garcia, founding member of the Grateful Dead.
