April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, Mahjong Wednesday. Play Mahjong at the Ferry Building! If you have never played and are eager to learn, an instructor is available to give you a quick guide and helpful tips on Chinese-style.
April 3, Downtown First Thursdays. DFT is a free monthly street party hosted in Downtown San Francisco taking place on every first Thursday of the month from 5pm to 10pm. Get ready for disco in the streets, DJs, live music, drag, fashion, street performances, and more.
April 3, First Thursdays at SFMOMA. From 12 noon–8 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month, Bay Area residents can enjoy SFMOMA’s galleries filled with lively and inspiring art — for free.
April 4-13, Spring San Francisco Restaurant Week. Participating restaurants will offer special prix-fixe menus that capture the culinary spirit of the city.
April 6, San Francisco International Chocolate Salon. Chocolate aficionados, fanatics, lovers and addicts can taste & experience the finest in artisan, gourmet & premium chocolate.
April 6, HEAD WEST Marketplace, HEAD WEST is a marketplace for emerging + established local brands and small businesses. From hand-made ceramics to locally sourced vintage, there are always new categories of goods available to explore.
April 7, Santa Clara University Night. Step up to the plate for an exhilarating evening of baseball and Bronco pride. Join the Giants as they take on the Cincinnati Reds for a thrilling night at Oracle Park.
April 7, 14, 21, 28, Monday Wellness. Join the winter Monday yoga series in the Port Room at the Ferry Building, with beautiful and peaceful views overlooking the Bay. This vinyasa yoga class combines accessible and creative flows, dynamic stretching, and core work.
April 12, Egg Hunt at Yerba Buena Gardens. Yerba Buena Gardens is hosting an Easter egg hunt for kids with live music, a photo booth with the Easter Bunny, games, crafts, prizes, and so much more.
April 12-13, 19-20, Cherry Blossom Festival. Two consecutive weekends of performances, crafts, food, martial arts and exhibitions. A colorful parade will be held starting at the Civic Center and ending in Japantown.
April 13, Gardeneur Plant Market. Gardeneur Marketplace is a destination and a one-stop plant source offering varieties of plants, plant-related things, eco-friendly products and multicultural foods.
April 17-20, San Francisco Art Fair. SF Art Fair will present 85 leading galleries from around the world alongside a dynamic series of public programming this April 2025 at Fort Mason Festival Pavilion.
April 18 – October 5, Golden Gate Park Band’s Free Symphony in the Park. Golden Gate Park’s 30-piece symphony has been playing free concerts in Golden Gate Park since 1882. Many concerts feature music of specific nationalities or cultures, including costumed guest performances from dancers, singers, and speakers, who will enlighten and entertain.
April 19, 2025 Earth Day Festival. Join the fun and kick off Earth Month and SF Climate Week with a bang at the Yerba Buena Gardens 2025 Earth Day Festival.
April 19-27, SF Climate Week. SF Climate Week is a series of events gathering diverse climate organizations, leaders, & the broader community working at the intersection of climate action & innovation.
April 23, Art Bash. Join SFMOMA for an unforgettable evening at SF’s most anticipated celebration of art and artists as they transform the museum into an immersive playground of creativity and community.
April 23, University of San Francisco Night. Don your school spirit and join the Giants for USF Night at Oracle Park.
April 26, DogFest. DogFest attendees can expect nonstop fun and games. Dogs are the star of the event with a daylong show and contest.
April 26, Eden Grinshpan, Tahini Baby. Stop by the Foodwise Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. Eden Grinshpan is the author of the cookbook Eating Out Loud, a TV food personality, and the creator of the online platform Eden Eats.
