Just when you thought the neighborhood foodie scene couldn’t get any better, The East Cut comes through again.  The recent opening of nearby Modi is the talk of the City. Here is a brief description of what awaits you at Modi. 

Modi, located at 88 Natoma Street, is a unique dining experience that blends the vibrant flavors of Mexico with the rich culinary traditions of Italy. Capturing the enchanting vibes of Tulum, Modi offers an oasis where culinary artistry meets lively entertainment.

This new East Cut restaurant is always buzzing with diners enjoying live music with their incredible meal every Wednesday to Saturday evening. 

Since its opening, the yelp reviews are coming in and diners are loving what Modi is serving up:

Modi is a gem! They’ve somehow fused Italian and Mexican cuisines in a way that’s both creative and absolutely delicious. I had the steak, and it was perfection–so tender it practically melted in my mouth, and it paired beautifully with the risotto. The homemade focaccia with avocado butter was incredible and a must-try. The prosciutto pizza was fluffy and packed with flavor. Beyond the food, the vibes were amazing. The restaurant is beautiful, the outdoor patio is warm and cozy, and the staff couldn’t have been better. We had such a great experience and can’t wait to come back! – Lina B.

We came here for our anniversary and it was magical! The staff was so welcoming and made our night so special. The food was TO DIE FOR …. The Birria Lasagna and Al Pastor Pizza were innovative, fresh, and DELICIOUS. Modi is the newest must try restaurant. The fusion of Mexican and Italian cuisines is executed elegantly. The service was great, as was the aesthetic. The upscale and glamorous interior design is the perfect backdrop for the creative and delicious menu. We tried the ceviche, tuna tostada, the Birria lasagna, steak (everyone’s favorite though it was hard to choose), the risotto and a lot more. – Ema P.
