Life at Jasper puts you in the center of excitement every month. September brings a new season and a variety of must attend events to the City. We’ve rounded up a few must attend events that include festivals, pop-ups, fun for your furry friends and much more. Check out our top picks and start marking your calendars:

September 1, HEAD WEST. Every first Sunday of the month, Head West will bring Bay Area Makers, Crafters, Designers, Artists + Vintage Merchants to the Ferry Building’s beautiful back plaza.

September 1, California Rum Festival. Taste some of the best rums around at the California Rum Festival at the SOMARTS Art Gallery.

September 4, 11, 18, 25, Happy Hour Trivia at The Crossing. Test your knowledge every Wednesday of the month at Happy Hour Trivia with Jeff from @SFTrivia.

September 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26, Live Music on the Plaza. Enjoy live music from 4-6pm on the Ferry Building’s North Plaza next to the Fort Point Beer Garden featuring Bay Area musicians all summer long.

September 4, 11, 18, 25, Wellness Wednesday. An hour of yoga during your lunch hour is a great way to get out of your office, listen to soulful tunes, and recharge your energy for the day.

September 4, 11, 18, 25, Mahjong Wednesday. Play Mahjong at the Fort Point Beer Garden every Wednesday in September, from 3-6pm on the North Plaza of the Ferry Building.

September 5, First Thursdays at SFMOMA. From 12 noon–8 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month, Bay Area residents can enjoy SFMOMA’s galleries filled with lively and inspiring art — for free.

September 5, Downtown First Thursdays. Grab your friends and head downtown for DFT on Market Street & 2nd Street. Get ready for more live music, food, drag, DJs, free all-ages activities to fill up the night.

September 7, Move and Be Moved. Post:ballet returns to Salesforce Park with an invitation to move and be moved. Associate Artistic Director Moscelyne ParkeHarrison and the Post:ballet company dancers will lead attendees through a fun, inclusive exploration of movement.

September 7, African Arts Festival. The 5th Annual African Arts Festival at the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival celebrates the glorious diversity and extraordinary creativity of the continent’s peoples.

September 8, BrazilianFestSF 2024. BrazilianFestSF is a series of events taking place at The Crossing in the East Cut neighborhood through October.

September 8, Dipper Summer Carnival. Fort Point Brewery is throwing a Summer Carnival with games inspired by Playland at the Beach (SF’s bygone amusement park), live music, and Not-Exactly-It ice cream sandwiches…you’ll feel like you’re back in 1930, riding the Big Dipper.

September 8, Gardeneur Plant Marketplace. Get ready to immerse yourself in a world of greenery and beauty at the Ferry Building.

September 12, Rooftop Radio at SFMOMA. Enjoy two drag show sessions curated by The Stud and music by their DJ friends throughout the evening, surrounded by the beautiful city skyline.

September 15, Fiesta Gigantes VIP Experience. Elevate your Fiesta Gigantes gameday with an immersive VIP Experience. Enjoy music, sweeping Oracle Park views, complimentary food and beverage (including beer and wine), exclusive photo opportunities and more.

September 21, SF Cheese Fest. Cheese Fest returns to the San Francisco Ferry Building Grand Hall. A multitude of California artisan cheesemakers showcase their cheeses while guests sip local wines and beers and enjoy live music.

September 26, Yerba Buena Gardens Public Art Tour. Free and open to all, this walking tour explores the artworks of Yerba Buena Gardens which evoke the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and San Francisco’s maritime past.

September 27, T.G.I.F. Movie Night. Thank goodness it’s Friday and the month’s over. The Crossing at the East Cut hosts movie night on the last Friday of each month through October.

September 28, Pop-Ups on the Plaza: Fall Kickoff. Celebrate local Black-owned businesses and kick off the harvest season with a day of delicious food, crafts, and community at the Embarcadero Ferry Terminal Plaza (south of the Ferry Building) and Ferry Plaza Farmers Market.

September 28, Dog Days of Summer. The barks are back on the last Saturday from August through October! Meet fellow dog lovers, brunch with your best friend outdoors, dance at the doggy disco, shop for unique pet products and themed goods, and enjoy the furry fun.

September 28, Dog Day 2. In community partnership with the San Francisco SPCA, dog lovers and pup parents are invited to Oracle Park for the season’s second PAW-SOME day.

Thru November 4, Yerba Buena Gardens Festival. This festival encompasses nearly 100 artistic, cultural and community events through November in Yerba Buena Gardens.
