Add Glow in the Dark to your 4th of July celebrations this year!

Already a downtown favorite, this electrifying street party is taking it to a whole new level! In addition to the usual performance acts, food and drink vendors, and interactive art installations, DFT is celebrating the 4th of July with hot dog-eating contests and a Glow in the Dark Parade leading right to the fireworks show.

THE SCHEDULE
Motown on Mondays – 5:00 at 2nd & Howard
Music and Conversations by KALW – 5:00 at 111 Minna Gallery
Discoteca by Grace Towers – 5:00 on Minna
Hot dog eating contests hosted by local drag legend Peaches Christ – 5:30, 6:30, 7:30, 8:30 at 2nd & Jessie
Special Guest Performers Coco & Breezy – 7:00 at 2nd & Howard
Glow in the Dark Parade – 8:30 at 2nd & Howard

THE PARADE
YOU are the light show! Wear your best glow in the dark and light up gear and meet at Howard and 2nd Streets between 8:30pm and 9pm for a Glow in the Dark parade to Market St. Then, stay and hang at DFT or exit on Market Street and head down to Embarcadero for San Francisco’s Fourth of July Fireworks Show!

THE VENDORS
Grab dinner from any of the local businesses on the block, including North India, Pie Punks, Sweetgreen, Lao Table, and more. Or, if those are overflowing, enjoy the offerings of our pop-up vendors.

In addition to the outdoor beer gardens at 111 Minna Gallery and Natoma Cabana, all the bars on 2nd Street will be pouring your favorite Independence Day libations!
