The Jasper July Agenda
Life at Jasper puts you in the center of excitement every month. July brings a variety of must attend events to the City. We’ve rounded up a few that include fireworks, live music, cooking classes, wine tasting, dance classes, and much more. Map out your month here:
July 1, Block Party. This Thrive City takeover features carnival-style attractions, local food and beverage vendors, roaming entertainers, a pet costume contest, live entertainment, and more.
July 2, HEAD WEST, Every first Sunday of the month Head West will bring Bay Area Makers, Crafters, Designers, Artists + Vintage Merchants to the Ferry Building’s beautiful back plaza.
July 2-August 20, Stern Grove Festival. This free outdoor concert series has happened every summer since 1938. The festival is on Sunday afternoons at 2 pm.
July 4, SF Symphony with Fireworks. Celebrate the Fourth of July with a festive outdoor performance perfect for summer. Led by conductor Edwin Outwater at Shoreline Amphitheatre, the SF Symphony fills the night air with a crowd-pleasing lineup of exhilarating music, with a grand finale of spectacular fireworks.
July 6, First Thursdays at SFMOMA. From 1–8 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month, Bay Area residents can enjoy SFMOMA’s galleries filled with lively and inspiring art — for free.
July 7, Feel Good Fridays. SPARK Social brings the backyard party to you every Friday with live music, lawn games, and $5 happy hour at the bar and the food trucks.
July 7, 14, 21 + 28, Bollywood Dance Fridays. Learn a combination of a 60 minute Bollywood or Bhangra dance lesson that will leave you feeling loved, lighter, and delighted in excitement at Salesforce Park.
July 8, Get Free Festival: Elements Day Party. Come party with Embodiment Project & ELEMENTS and artists featured throughout the festival as we wrap up another amazing Get Free Festival.
July 8, Fabric Swap. Join the #nonewclothes movement! Swap your treasured fabric pieces with others. Get inspired and make new friends.
July 8, Paws-itively Summer. Join Thrive City’s first ever Paws-itively Summer with pet-friendly activities including a pup park, pup cup bar, and puppy mixers where you can connect with other pet owners.
July 8, Union Square in Bloom Summer Music Series. Every Saturday through mid-October from 1pm – 4pm, and beginning in August, every 3rd Thursday, from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm, Union Square Plaza will come alive with the sounds of talented local artists, celebrating the rich musical heritage of this iconic city.
July 9, Gardeneur Plant and Eco-Market. Gardeneur’s monthly Plant Market returns to the San Francisco Ferry Building, Second Sundays through September.
July 12, San Francisco Frozen Film Festival. The S.F. Frozen Film Festival is coming to The Cut and celebrating its 17th year of amazing international film, music, and art events.
July 12, Cookie Decorating Class. Join sugar cookie sisters Maya and Murrah to decorate a custom Birthday inspired cookie set at the iconic San Francisco Ferry Building.
July 13, A Very Ferry Birthday Party. The festivities include themed offerings from marketplace merchants, a free ice cream sundae at Humphry Slocombe, a special birthday happy hour at Fort Point, limited-edition Ferry Building swag giveaways, and a custom paint by number kit designed by SF Etsy.
July 14, Comedy at The Crossing. Enjoy a night filled with laughs, drinks, bites, and more featuring top rising comedians from the Bay Area.
July 15, SFFFF LGBTQ+ Themed Short Program. The S.F. Frozen Film Festival is coming to The Cut and celebrating its 17th year of amazing international film, music, and art events.
July 16, Foodwise Summer Bash. You’ll feast on unlimited food and drink from 45 beloved Bay Area restaurants and beverage makers, featuring peak-summer produce from the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market.
July 18, Tsar Nicoulai Caviar Tasting. Learn about sustainable caviar production from the Tsar Nicoulai team and take part in a tasting while you sip bubbly in the beautiful Ferry Building Grand Hall.
July 22, Paramore. Head to the Chase Center and take in Paramore in this state-of-the-art sports and entertainment center.
July 25, Dandelion Chocolate Tasting. You’ll taste your way through a flight of five distinctive chocolate bars, and learn how to perceive chocolate, identify flavor families, and understand how flavors are developed.
July 28, Autism Awareness Night. With the help of Giants legend, Will Clark, the Giants are proud to host the 15th annual Autism Awareness Night to raise awareness about this developmental disorder.
Tuesdays + Thursdays, Summer Sounds. Enjoy live musical performances in the Urban Patio of Three Embarcadero Center. Summer Sounds will run every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00am – 1:00pm in July.
Thursdays, Live Music on the Plaza. Enjoy live music from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on the Ferry Building’s Back Plaza featuring Bay Area musicians every Thursday through August.
Movies all Month Long. Located in the heart of downtown San Francisco, The Cut Outdoor Cinema at The Crossing is the Bay’s first year-round outdoor cinema. Check out what’s coming to the big screen.
