The Jasper team is made up of a number of professionals. One of them is Leasing Consultant, Ed Ness. Originally from Marion, Illinois, Ed has lived in San Francisco for 22 years and has 15 years of experience in the leasing industry. Ed was good enough to take time to share a little insight into his position and dealings at our premiere rental community.

Every apartment should include:

High ceilings that create that chamber sound so that when you sing with your friends it sounds great. Kind of like singing in the shower but space for more people. Of course, you need concrete floors and ceilings, so you do not disturb your neighbors.

Best thing about living in San Francisco:

Getting to walk along the Embarcadero and look at San Francisco Bay during my lunch break.

Describe your favorite floor plan and what makes it unique.

My favorite floor plan is 2P-1, our 2 BR x 2BR with Den. Having a balcony more than 30 stories up looking out onto the City skyline and the Bay takes my breath away.

Favorite view at Jasper?

My favorite view is northeast that you can see from some of our corner apartments. I love being able to look downtown and at the bay simultaneously. You can see the sun rising in the morning and some of the sunset as you look north with filtered light coming from behind Twin Peaks that you can see looking to the left/west.

What are residents looking for in an apartment home these days?

Residents are looking for luxury living in a location that allows them to walk to work. They like sleek modern décor and amenity space where they can work from home without being in their apartment.

3 things people may be surprised to know about Jasper are:

1. The interior halls and common areas are dark with splashes of light.  The concept is called “Film Noir” and is influenced by classic Humphry Bogart films.

2. The building has the capacity to sway 5 feet in any direction during an earthquake.

3. Our studios have unique kitchen technology. One appliance works as both a microwave and conventional oven.

How does Jasper build a sense of community among its residents?

Our community events really bring the turn out. I attended the last one we did about a month ago. We had a cocktail, beer, and wine reception in our lounge. Cheese, crackers, raw veggies and hummus were also served. Between 7pm and 8pm approximately 40 people were hanging out, getting to know their neighbors. The conversations were flowing with lots of laughter.
