San Francisco Pride 2019
Join the fun as the LGBTQ Community and its allies celebrate “Generations of Resistance” in San Francisco during the 49th Annual San Francisco Pride taking place on Saturday, June 29 from 12pm – 6pm and Sunday, June 30 from 11am – 6pm.
Celebrations begin on a Saturday in Civic Center Plaza in downtown San Francisco. The Parade, which takes place the Sunday morning of the event, kicks off from Beale Street along Market and ends at Market and 8th St. in the heart of downtown. Contingents march through the heart of the city, along Market Street, with more than 100,000 spectators. With over 200 parade contingents and exhibitors, and more than twenty community-run stages and venues, the SF Pride is the largest gathering of the LGBT community.
In addition to the Parade on Sunday, the two-day weekend Celebration in the heart of the city boasts almost one million attendees annually. This festival and rally feature a Main Stage with world-class entertainment and thought leaders, at the steps of City Hall – just 1.8 miles from Jasper.
The celebration is free to attend but they do request a voluntary $1 to $5 donation at the entry gates, which helps to cover the cost to partially fund over 20 community-produced stages and venues at the Celebration; and partner with more than 60 local non-profits to give back nearly $3 million in direct grants in the last 20 years.
