Must Attend Events in July
Summer is in full swing and so is the local event scene. From wine fests to cooking demos, concerts to fireworks, there is something for everyone to enjoy this July. We’ve rounded up some must attend events coming up in the city that definitely need to be added to your social calendar:
The city’s Fourth of July Celebration includes setting off 10,000 fireworks for 20 minutes from barges near Aquatic Park and Pier 39.
Whether you’re a wine connoisseur, casual wine taster or just a fan looking for a fun pregame activity, the Wine Fest on July 6 is a great way to gather before the Giants game.
Join the fun at the CUESA Classroom for a cooking demo featuring Sana Javeri Kadri, Diaspora Co. on July 14.
The best fest is back at SPARK Social SF… the Great Mac n’ Cheese Meltoff is July 14.
The Renegade Craft Fair on July 14-15 has indie crafts, food trucks, craft cocktails, DJ music, and workshops in the Festival Pavilion at Fort Mason Center.
Every Wednesday through August 9th, lively bands will be performing in the Three Embarcadero Center Urban Patio from 12-2pm during Summer Sounds. July: 19, 26.
AT&T Park will provide the spectacular backdrop to the three-day Rugby World Cup Sevens tournament from July 20-22, featuring men’s teams and women’s teams competing for the title of World Champions.
The incomparable San Francisco Ballet returns to Stern Grove Festival performing an afternoon of selections from the current repertory on July 29.
The San Francisco Marathon begins July 29 on the Embarcadero, goes across the Golden Gate Bridge, and winds around the entire city. The weekend also has an ultra-marathon, 5K, and two half marathons.
Stern Grove Festival is back for the summer! Every Sunday at 2pm during the summer months, you will find a free concert in the park, through August 19.
Every Thursday through August at Tacolicious’ Ferry Plaza farmer’s market stand, guest pop-up chefs will prepare specialty tacos to raise funds for CUESA. July: 7, 12, 19, 26.
Union Square Live is a series of summer concerts and dances, and even a circus act in Union Square through September 26. Explore the lineup!
Golden Gate Park Band plays a variety of music (classical, marches, opera, swing, and show tunes) at Spreckels Temple of Music in Golden Gate Park through October 7.
Hear music concerts and watch dance performances outdoors at the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival from July 5 through October 28.
