Must Attend Events in May
The weather is warming up and spring is in full swing so you know what that means; May is loaded with a host of events. Time to break out the calendars and start blocking out some time to attend these nearby events:
Peruse the recently opened Spring 2017 Exhibitions and Summer of Love at the MoAD.
The Taste of Potrero on May 4 features an open bar and unlimited tastes of restaurant food at Pier 70.
Join one of the May Classes: Williams-Sonoma Union Square Cooking School for Mexican food, Mothers Day brunch and more! May: 5, 6, 13, 19 and 26.
“All ‘Cinderellas’ should look and dance as well as this one,” exclaimed the SF Chronicle. Take in the show are the SF Ballet through May 7.

Join the oldest continuous foot race in the world as the Bay to Breakers returns on May 21, stating near the Embarcadero and finishes at the ocean.
The San Francisco International Arts Festival from May 25-June 4 features innovative cross-cultural performances by international artists at Fort Mason Center.
Head to CUESA on May 27 and catch a demo by Sean Vahey, Humphry Slocombe.
On May 29, a Memorial Day Ceremony includes a Grand March from the Presidio Officers’ Club to San Francisco National Cemetery for speeches and music, followed by a 21-gun salute.
Matisse/Diebenkorn at SFMOMA brings together 100 seminal paintings and drawings that reveal the connections between the two artists in subject, style, color, and technique. The exhibit runs through May 29.
