Three Unexpected Ways to Watch the Giants Game

When our home team is the World Series Champion, there’s nothing like cheering and jeering with other fans. From the way Splash Hits get caught by boaters in the bay to special events that feature fireworks and music, AT&T Park is unlike any other baseball stadium. Whether you’re looking for a way to sneak a free peek of the Giants game or want to be on the field for warmups, check out these unexpected ways to watch the game.

McCovey Cove Experience.
Behind the scoreboard in center field there is a pier where ferries can tie up and let off fans right at the park. On game days, baseball fans flock to the water of McCovey Cove in boats and even in kayaks, often with fishing nets in the hope of collecting a Splash Hit home run ball. City Kayak makes it easy by offering a package that includes everything you need to enjoy being in McCovey Cove experience. Enjoy kayak rentals from South Beach Harbor just next to AT&T Park where you can paddle to McCovey Cove in 10 minutes.

The Gotham Club.
A private, speakeasy-style social club will provide a members-only experience while celebrating the rich 132-year history of the Giants franchise. Members will receive private game day ballpark entrance, access to exclusive Club events each month, and game day access to three Club venues located throughout AT&T Park – The Clubhouse, The Bullpen and The Game Room.

The Clubhouse is located inside the out-of-town scoreboard; with unique views to the Field and McCovey Cove, this venue features a stunning bar and a private dining area. The Clubhouse is the central location for Club activity and is directly connected, via staircase, to The Bullpen. A private, members-only entrance along The Portwalk grants members direct and easy access to The Clubhouse and inside the ballpark. The Clubhouse opens prior to the public on game days and remains open well past the final out.

The Bullpen is situated along the right field warning track. This spectacular location puts members on the field and in the heart of the pre-game action. Just steps away from players warming up, members can enjoy food, beverages and the best opportunity in the ballpark to catch a batting practice ball. The Bullpen opens two and a half hours prior to first pitch and provides direct access to The Clubhouse.

The Game Room is inspired by former Giants manager John McGraw’s famous pool hall, this secret lounge features a billiards table, bowling lanes, and vintage parlor games. The Game Room is an ideal venue for members to unwind and enjoy artisan libations and exclusive menu offerings. The Game Room is open two hours prior to first pitch, throughout the entire game, and up to one hour after the final out.

Waterfront Views and Free Baseball at Giants Promenade.
Located adjacent to AT&T Park is the Giants Promenade. This privately owned public waterfront promenade runs along two sides of the ballpark, with waterfront access to McCovey Cove. During all home games fans can watch three innings of a game through the wall’s archways, free of charge. The view is available on a first-come/first-serve basis for up to 24 people for 3 innings, as the area is cleared after the 3rd, 6th, and 9th innings. Across the cove from the ballpark is McCovey Point and China Basin Park, featuring monuments to past Giants legends.

If you decide to pop inside the park to watch the game, bring your appetite – AT&T Park is known for having some of the best stadium food in the country.
