Celebrating Culture and Creativity – Yerba Buena Gardens Festival
If you find yourself looking for some outdoor entertainment, head down to Yerba Buena Gardens and take in an event at the festival. It couldn’t be any easier to grab your spot in the grass and gather with friends. It’s just a short walk (a little over 0.5 miles) from your front door at Jasper in Rincon Hill.
The Yerba Buena Gardens (YBG) Festival is now in its 15th season and has been entertaining residents and visitors alike. Their mission is praiseworthy; they are dedicated to enhancing the vitality and quality of life in the parks and open spaces of Yerba Buena Gardens and other public sites of San Francisco.
A cultural celebration. Celebrating the rich cultural heritage and creativity throughout our region, YBG Festival showcases a variety of music, dance, theater and family programs for all to enjoy. Here are a few of our picks that made the short list this season:
June 20 – Bixiga 70 + Loco Bloco – 1pm
July 14, August 11 and October 13 – Litquake 12:30pm
August 16 – Brazil in the Gardens – 1pm
September 24 – Kally Price Old Blues & Jazz Band – 12:30pm
A complete listing of all their events this summer can be found here. And now for the best part – it’s all free!
As the only curated art park fully dedicated to the presentation of free arts and cultural programs, Yerba Buena Gardens embodies a unique and vital place in the cultural landscape of San Francisco.
